QuarkXpress
THe absolute BEST page layout/design software on the market…
Microsoft Publisher
Adobe Illustrator
Corel Draw/Photo
Quark
MS Publisher
Adobe Photoshop
Anyone of these, I use all three. Depends on what I want to do.
Microsoft Pub would be good for the flyers and posters. CD Stomper is an old program that came with special paper and a plastic device made to perfectly place a cd label, and you could use that if you could still find it somewhere. The only downside is that printed labels can get hot if played for too long in a car or cd player, and always have the risk of flipping up on one side and catching in the mechanism.
You can use adobe photoshop. I used to have a job making posters and I used Corel draw because I didn’t know how to use photoshop. But photoshop is way better.
Corel Draw, or Adobe Illustrator if your Artistic
i would suggest:
The Print Shop – flyers, posters, brochures, cd labels, mailing labels, presentations, postcards, business cards, etc
or
Memorex CD Label Creator: cd labels and case inserts
the print shop is about $15 but it is worth it in the long run. it comes with like 50,000 pieces of clip art and stuff, and the program comes on like 2 cds, one is the program and the other the clip art. definetly worth it. also has advertising program built in.
if u wanna go the cheaper route, i would suggest microsoft publisher. its sort of the same but different. its still very good though.
i’m not sure about the downloadable part, but go to Best Buy and they will help you.
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Pagemaker
MS publisher
Paint shop Pro
