Posters of a pregnant nun in "defiance" of the pope's visit. Is it just pointless dissent?

This seems pretty immature to me. Why can’t they just let the pope do his thing? Why do they feel they need to defy the advertising standards agency’s rules and put up these posters that mock the pope, the catholic faith and it’s followers? The advertising standard agency has it’s rules for a reason.
To add insult to injury, they are using the whole thing to advertise their ice cream.
Please give me sensible answers, no asinine answers like "Well religion is stupid anyway". I’m an agnostic and pretty apathetic about the pope’s visit, so please don’t attack me either.
I agree with free speech and that it is silly that the pope’s visit is funded by government money, but I think it is ridiculous and suggestion of how rotten parts of our society are that it is OK to mock so many people just to sell ice cream. There is no such thing as corporate ethics. Free speech is exploited.
